Crude Oz’s first gig was in March, 2007, at a small bar called O-drive, in Makati. The band played 5 songs in front of a few people in the audience.

Since then, Crude Oz has played in the following venues: Purple Haze, Rj Bar, 6 Underground, Freedom Bar, Club Dredd, Kublai’s, Kampai Bar, 9Mile, Sausage Bar… still in front of a few people in the audience.

Crude Oz’s chief songwriter is Deo. When asked to describe his music, he says: “A lot of musicians come out trying to be different, to stand out from other musicians, I am not one of those musicians. The music that I make is the result of the emotions and experiences that I felt when I made the songs. Sometimes it may sound original, sometimes it may sound like someone else… it doesn’t matter to me. I am merely trying to express myself.”

In January 2007, Crude Oz’s song Nasaan Ka was chosen as NU 107′s Standout Track of the Week. The band is currently recording their self-produced album: StraightJacket.

I didn’t get the chance (nor the courage) to doodle. Bands were already playing Electronica by the time I arrived. This band’s “Flavors & Caffeine” and their girl had really nice voice. First time I’ve heard Electronica in Tagalog. Galeng!

Since I can’t draw nor doodle to save my life, I’m happy taking pictures.

Nothing new. I once again volunteered to be their UNofficial photographer (since I can’t draw nor doodle to save my life). Might as well introduce you to some of the WeeWillDoodle gang and the purty FART Gallery owner.

To be honest, I didn’t expect the event to be dominated by Anime. I expected to see more of the hard-to-find Disney collectibles and the like. Plus, seeing all those kids and grown-ups dressed in Anime and Transformer costumes really spooked the hell out of me. I’ve nothing against these things, it’s just not for me.

If not for my friends who had a booth there, I wouldn’t have enjoyed my very brief stay. I don’t like Anime to begin with so looking back, I don’t really know what the hell I’m doing there.

Good thing I brought my Laboy stickers with me. I left them at the WeeWillDoodle booth to be given away for free.

Only because may 4 year old son has been itching to see the movie , unfortunately due to certain constraints I figured better to watch it at the comforts of our home comfortably plus I get to eat all the stuff I like while watching the DVD and get to make “Takas” for quick smoke breaks.

Honestly I liked it even more than the first movie, better song selection, the Chipette’s we’re a good addition except that their was less of Jason Lee who plays “Dave Seville” you only get to see him on the start and end of the movie.

A big kick is definitely seeing Charice Pempengco belting out an Alicia Key’s song, definitely a good family movie.
